Meta rankings
Our reading of the verified numbers, with the reasoning shown so you can disagree with it.
These are editorial judgements, not usage data. Killstreaks has no telemetry: no pick rates, no win rates, no sampled match data. Every ranking below is arithmetic on published statistics plus an opinion about what those statistics mean, and it is labelled that way everywhere it appears.
Warzone — Battle Royale

Still the highest verified damage profile in the assault rifle class after its Season 05 trim: 48 at up to 36m and 40 beyond 52m. The 10ms aim-down-sight penalty and the drop to 900m/s cost it in close-quarters trades, but nothing else in the verified set matches its damage retention at range.

The clearest winner of Season 05 in the verified data: maximum damage up from 45 to 47, medium from 41 to 42, and aim-down-sight time cut from 170ms to 160ms — all with no range reduction. A buff on every published axis at once is rare.

Untouched at close and mid range while gaining two points of minimum damage, a 1.3× headshot multiplier, 5ms off its aim-down-sight time and roughly 8% less base recoil. Note this ranking is for Warzone only — the same weapon was substantially nerfed in Black Ops 7 multiplayer at the same patch.

Still the hardest-hitting verified SMG up close at 46 damage, and it keeps the 652rpm fire rate and 1.15× headshot multiplier gained in Season 04. The range trim to 12.8m narrows the window where that damage applies.

Two consecutive seasons of improvement have taken its aim-down-sight time from 175ms to 160ms and its headshot multiplier to 1.3×. Its 26 maximum damage is the lowest of the verified SMGs, so it trades raw damage for the fastest published handling in the class.

The only weapon with a published multiplayer damage buff this patch, and the Dual Fire Kit rework turns its biggest drawback — managing two magazines — into a mobility and sprint-to-fire advantage.

A new 1.15× neck multiplier, rising to 1.5× with the 16.5" Deadeye Barrel, adds a reward for precision that the weapon previously lacked. How much it matters depends on unpublished values, so we rate the change as promising rather than decisive.
